Hi, my name is Stella Metsovas, and today we’re gonna talk about, what does it mean if you crave protein? Number one most important rule I teach people, what source of protein are you craving most? Are they sources like fish, meat, chicken and eggs? If you identify a particular source that comes up often, like say salmon or eggs, you could be deficient in omega 3 fats, or possibly vitamin A or beta carotene, or even zinc. Now, if you’re cravings are pretty much anything protein related, you’re probably not getting enough in your diet, or you could be lacking in overall nutrients like B vitamins. Before selecting top choice of protein like fish, remember the smaller is the better. So small fish are better. Eggs, organic meats, like beef or lamb. Keep your micro-nutrients in check by consuming a variety of protein sources, and never stick with just one source, like chicken breast for example.
